Lot # 10688 – 1978 INTERNATIONAL 986

This is a rare find. Absolutely a gem of a 1978 986. Extremely clean tractor, all parts and pieces are original with the addition of some nice accessories. Paint is all original and in great shape. This is a 2nd owner tractor. Originally purchased from Vestal equipment in Bolivar, MO. The original parts all in tact and in good shape plus the extra add ones like the door shock that makes it not only a classic but a user friendly one as well. Original exhaust and left side step will come with tractor also. 3 remote valves all factory setup. While adding the turbo, the owner had engine freshened up while they were in there adding the piston cooling jets which were required for the turbo add on. Turbo add and freshening approx 1,000 hours ago. A/C and Heat both work great. Rear Wheel weights 4 per tire. Dual hubs on both axles. Original top link all 3 point parts and pieces are there and all work as should all original and tight. Drawbar has very little wear and still has original paint up close to frame. Tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The only noticeable paint is on the side frames where the owner had a loader frame on it for a short period. Loader was swapped from a 1466 for bad weather. The owner didn’t like it so took the frames off. Radial rubber ready for a parade or the farm. 1996 Etnyre 25 Ton Lowboy Trailer. mechanical detachable neck, tires are 90% tread, ramp carrier frame between axles, 8′ 6″ wide with 12″ swing extensions. Trailer has been used on the farm for local excavator transportation. Trailer is in great shape, the tires are like new.
